The Bible is filled with life stories about how He accomplished God-sized goals through ordinary people. (Moses, Saul, Mary) In each lesson God had goals that allowed the individuals to be successful. Goals, when thought out can make the differences between victory and failure. Creating goals can be intimidating. Here are some guidelines to help you when you sit down to write them out.

Fit for life goals are from God, align with His purpose and have an eternal quality to them.
One of my goals is to be held accountable. Like I mentioned in the first post I struggle with reaching out and connecting with others. Even with close friends I have to be intentional in my relationships with them or I can let days, weeks, and months go by without contact. In Romans12:5b we are reminded that we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others. As I get older I find I need community more than anything.
I need others to WALK with me.
Col2:6-7, Gen. 2:18, Heb. 10:25a, 1 Cor14:26, 30-31, Eph4:16
Community is God’s answers to loneliness.
I need others to WORK with me.
Eph2:10, Eccl4:9, Gal6:10
Community is God’s answer to fatigue.
I need others to WATCH out for me.
Ph2:4, Heb13:1, Eccl4:12
Community is God’s answer to defeat.
I need others to WAIT with me.
1 Peter3:8a, 1 Cor.12:26, Rom12:15, 1Th5:11
Community is God’s answer to despair.
I need others to WITNESS with me.
John12:35, 2Tim1:17, Ph1:27b
God’s answer to fear is love
