God’s Story, Your Invitation

Key Scriptures:
📖 Genesis 1:1 – “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
📖 John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Have you ever watched a movie or read a book where the story was so big, so epic, that it made you wonder what it would be like to be a part of it? The gospel—the good news of Jesus Christ—is that kind of story. But here’s the twist: it’s not fiction. It’s real, it’s cosmic, and you’ve been invited to join it.

1. The Beginning of the Story

The Bible opens with the powerful words, “In the beginning, God created…” (Genesis 1:1). From nothing, God spoke the universe into existence. Every star, every tree, every creature was made with intention. And when God created humanity, He called it “very good” (Genesis 1:31). We were created to live in perfect relationship with Him and to reflect His goodness in the world.

But the story took a turn. Sin entered the world through human rebellion (Romans 3:23). That perfect relationship with God was broken, and the world has been experiencing the effects of that fracture ever since—pain, loss, conflict, and death.

2. God’s Rescue Plan

Yet even in the darkest moment, God was not surprised. From the beginning, He had a plan. The story of the Bible is not about people trying to get back to God—it’s about God reaching out to rescue us.

John 3:16 is perhaps the most famous verse in Scripture, and for good reason: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

This verse sums up God’s rescue mission. Jesus entered our broken world to bring healing and redemption. He lived the life we couldn’t live, died the death we deserved, and rose again to bring us new life. That’s the heart of the gospel.

3. Your Invitation to the Story

This isn’t just ancient history or spiritual theory—it’s personal. God’s story is an invitation to you. Following Jesus is not just about escaping punishment or checking a religious box. It’s about stepping into a relationship with the Creator and becoming part of His mission to restore the world.

When you say “yes” to Jesus, you are stepping into a much bigger story—one of hope, redemption, and purpose. God is writing a story of restoration, and He wants you to be a part of it.
