About Rooted Simply

Hi! My name is Jess, a wife and mother of two. I am a Midwest girl with Southern Roots. Welcome to Rooted Simply — a space where I share about my faith, my family, and the simple joys that shape our everyday life.

“Rooted Simply” reflects my desire to keep life grounded in what matters most. For me, that begins with faith. By simplifying our schedules, our homes, and even our expectations, I’ve found more room to focus on God and the purpose He has for my life. I believe simplicity starts in the heart and grows outward through the work of the Holy Spirit, touching every area of how we live, love, and show up in the world.

Simplicity, to me, is finding joy in the ordinary — the slow mornings, the small moments, the quiet reminders of God’s goodness. It’s choosing to be intentional and grateful for the life we’ve been given rather than rushing through it. When I live simply, I’m better able to notice God’s presence, nurture my family well, and create a home filled with peace and purpose.

Choosing a simpler life allows me to slow down, breathe deeply, and stay rooted in faith. I hope that this space encourages you to do the same — to embrace the beauty in the everyday, to let go of what weighs you down, and to live a life anchored in what truly matters.

I am glad you are here!
