Romans 12:1-2

<\/strong>“12 <\/strong>Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God\u2019s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God\u2014this is your true and proper worship. 2 <\/strong>Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God\u2019s will is\u2014his good, pleasing, and perfect will.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every one of us knows what it feels like to drift. Not intentionally, not rebelliously \u2014 just slowly, subtly, almost without noticing. Our priorities shift. Our habits change. Our thoughts get crowded. And before long, our lives feel slightly \u201coff,\u201d like a car that pulls to one side of the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romans 12:1\u20132 is God\u2019s invitation to come back into alignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul doesn\u2019t begin with behavior. He begins with the mind. Because transformation doesn\u2019t start with doing more for God \u2014 it starts with thinking differently because of God.<\/p>\n\n\n

We cannot put God first without allowing Him to transform how we think. Renewal begins in the mind, and from that renewed mind flows a life aligned with God\u2019s will \u2014 His good, pleasing, and perfect will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alignment is not about perfection. It\u2019s about direction.<\/p>\n\n\n

Paul urges us to \u201coffer your bodies as a living sacrifice.\u201d This is worship \u2014 not just singing, not just attending church, but offering our whole selves to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our time. Our desires. Our decisions. Our bodies. Our everyday lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Worship is not something we visit; it\u2019s something we live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The World Is Always Trying to Shape Us<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Paul warns, \u201cDo not be conformed to this world.\u201d The world is not neutral. It constantly tries to mold our priorities, values, and identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Culture says, \u201cDo what feels right.\u201d Jesus says, \u201cDo what is right.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Culture says, \u201cPut yourself first.\u201d Jesus says, \u201cDeny yourself and follow Me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we don\u2019t intentionally pursue alignment with God, we will unintentionally drift into alignment with the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Renewal Happens Through Scripture and the Spirit<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBe transformed by the renewing of your mind.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Renewal is not self-help. It\u2019s not positive thinking. It\u2019s not trying harder. Renewal is the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit using the truth of Scripture to reshape how we see God, ourselves, and the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When our thinking changes, our living changes. When our perspective shifts, our priorities shift. When our minds are renewed, our lives are realigned.<\/p>\n\n\n

Alignment doesn\u2019t happen once. It happens again and again \u2014 each morning, each decision, each moment we choose God\u2019s way over our own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some days we feel centered. Other days we feel scattered. But every day, God invites us back into alignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the beauty of grace: God doesn\u2019t just call us to transformation \u2014 He empowers it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
