\u201cBut seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.\u201d \u2014 Matthew 6:33<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

There\u2019s a certain kind of worry that settles into the soul when we feel like we don\u2019t have enough \u2014 not enough time, not enough strength, not enough answers, not enough resources. It\u2019s the kind of worry that whispers, \u201cWhat if I can\u2019t make this work?\u201d<\/em> or \u201cWhat if I fall short?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus speaks directly to this kind of fear in Matthew 6. He doesn\u2019t dismiss it. He doesn\u2019t shame us for feeling it. Instead, He gently redirects our gaze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLook at the birds,\u201d<\/em> He says. \u201cLook at the flowers.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s almost as if Jesus is saying, \u201cSlow down. Breathe. Pay attention.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Birds don\u2019t store up food, yet they never go hungry. Flowers don\u2019t design their own beauty, yet they are clothed with splendor. Creation thrives not because it strives, but because it trusts the One who sustains it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then Jesus says something that cuts straight to the heart of worry:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYour heavenly Father knows that you need them.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He knows. He sees. He understands. He provides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Jesus doesn\u2019t stop there. He gives us a new focus \u2014 a new way of living that loosens the grip of worry:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSeek first His kingdom\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Worry says, \u201cFocus on what you lack.\u201d<\/em> Jesus says, \u201cFocus on who I am.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Worry says, \u201cYou must figure this out.\u201d<\/em> Jesus says, \u201cLet Me lead you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Worry says, \u201cYou\u2019re on your own.\u201d<\/em> Jesus says, \u201cYour Father knows what you need.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seeking God\u2019s kingdom first doesn\u2019t mean ignoring responsibilities or pretending everything is fine. It means placing God at the center of every decision, every desire, every fear. It means trusting that when we align our hearts with His purposes, He takes care of the rest.<\/p>\n\n\n

This week, God is inviting you to shift your focus \u2014 from scarcity to sufficiency, from fear to faith, from striving to seeking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflection Practice<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Take a moment today to write down the top three things you worry about most. Then pray:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLord, I choose to seek You first.<\/em> I trust You to provide what I cannot.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let this be the week you stop chasing \u201cwhat ifs\u201d and start seeking the One who holds your future. When God is first, worry loses its power. When God is first, peace begins to grow. When God is first, everything else finds its rightful place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He knows what you need \u2014 and He is faithful to provide.<\/p>\n\n\n
