It equips us for every good work and transforms us into who we were created to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Word is Inspired<\/strong> \u2013 God breathed life into Scripture; it carries divine authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Word is Useful <\/strong>\u2013 It corrects, trains, and equips us for real life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Word is Transformative<\/strong> \u2013 It doesn\u2019t just inform us \u2014 it changes us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Word is Enough<\/strong> \u2013 Through it, we become complete and capable in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Surprised By Scripture Moment:<\/strong> Paul writes to Timothy, a young pastor, urging him to hold fast to the Scriptures he\u2019s known since childhood. Facing false teachers and hardship, Timothy is reminded that the Word of God is divinely inspired \u2014 \u201cGod-breathed\u201d \u2014 and fully sufficient to guide, teach, and equip. The Word Is Inspired (v.16a)<\/strong> The Word Is Useful (v.16b)<\/strong> The Word Is Transformative (v.17)<\/strong> “6 <\/strong>\u201cThese are the commands, decrees, and regulations that the Lord your God commanded me to teach you. You must obey them in the land you are about to enter and occupy, 2 <\/sup>and you and your children and grandchildren must fear the Lord your God as long as you live. If you obey all his decrees and commands, you will enjoy a long life. 3 <\/sup>Listen closely, Israel, and be careful to obey. Then all will go well with you, and you will have many children in the land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n 4 <\/sup>\u201cListen, O Israel! We are called to love God fully and teach His words diligently \u2014 allowing them to shape how we live, parent, work, and relate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Word Begins in the Heart<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cLove the Lord your God with all your heart.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Word Belongs in the Home<\/strong> \u2013 Pass it on diligently; make it part of everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Word Becomes Habit<\/strong> \u2013 Talk about it, write it, remember it \u2014 make it your rhythm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Word Builds Legacy<\/strong> \u2013 A life saturated with Scripture leaves faith footprints for others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Surprised By Scripture Moment:<\/strong> Deuteronomy records Moses\u2019 final instructions to Israel before entering the Promised Land. Chapter 6 contains the Shema (\u201cHear, O Israel\u201d), a daily confession of faith. Moses calls God\u2019s people to love Him wholeheartedly and keep His Word central in every part of life \u2014 not as ritual, but as relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Word Begins in the Heart (v.5\u20136)<\/strong> The Word Belongs in the Home (v.7)<\/strong> The Word Becomes Habit (v.8\u20139)<\/strong> “13 <\/sup>That same day two of Jesus\u2019 followers were walking to the village of Emmaus, seven miles[a<\/a>]<\/sup> from Jerusalem. 14 <\/sup>As they walked along they were talking about everything that had happened. 15 <\/sup>As they talked and discussed these things, Jesus himself suddenly came and began walking with them. 16 <\/sup>But God kept them from recognizing him.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n 17 <\/sup>He asked them, \u201cWhat are you discussing so intently as you walk along?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n They stopped short, sadness written across their faces. 18 <\/sup>Then one of them, Cleopas, replied, \u201cYou must be the only person in Jerusalem who hasn\u2019t heard about all the things that have happened there the last few days.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n 19 <\/sup>\u201cWhat things?\u201d Jesus asked.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe things that happened to Jesus, the man from Nazareth,\u201d they said. \u201cHe was a prophet who did powerful miracles, and he was a mighty teacher in the eyes of God and all the people. 20 <\/sup>But our leading priests and other religious leaders handed him over to be condemned to death, and they crucified him. 21 <\/sup>We had hoped he was the Messiah who had come to rescue Israel. This all happened three days ago.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n 22 <\/sup>\u201cThen some women from our group of his followers were at his tomb early this morning, and they came back with an amazing report. 23 <\/sup>They said his body was missing, and they had seen angels who told them Jesus is alive! 24 <\/sup>Some of our men ran out to see, and sure enough, his body was gone, just as the women had said.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n 25 <\/sup>Then Jesus said to them, \u201cYou foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures. 26 <\/sup>Wasn\u2019t it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?\u201d 27 <\/sup>Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n 28 <\/sup>By this time they were nearing Emmaus and the end of their journey. Jesus acted as if he were going on, 29 <\/sup>but they begged him, \u201cStay the night with us, since it is getting late.\u201d So he went home with them. 30 <\/sup>As they sat down to eat,[b<\/a>]<\/sup> he took the bread and blessed it. Then he broke it and gave it to them. 31 <\/sup>Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And at that moment he disappeared!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
